It's cold outside, and you think you have nothing to do because of the weather? THINK AGAIN! There are many activities you can do while it's cold outside; you could go ice skating! There is an indoor AND outdoor one so: take your pick!
The indoor ice skating rink can be located at ul. Lazienkowska 6a aclled Torwar II Ice Rink. And don't worry, if you don't know how to skate, the indoor skating rink blocks off a section for beginner skates and children (scheduled times only.) Admission is 12pln for everybody and skate rental is 10pln for 1 1/2 hour session. If you want a helmet. hockey skates that is an addition 2pln. You must leave a photo i.d. with them at the register so you will be able to collect it once you return the skates after you are done skating. There is also another indoor skating rink which is located at Al. Komisji Edukacji Narodowej (Ursynow) called Figlowisko, right next to the multikino near the Imelin metro stop. (3 stops away from the Ursynow compound taking the 179 bus, right outside the neighborhood.) It's open 24 hours a day! Admission is 9pln for the first hour, and after that, witht the next two hours free, skate rental is 5pln with no time limit. This place also becomes a childrens play area from Spring to Autumn, as well it is Warsaw's only skimboarding park. For outdoor skating rinks there are; Stegny and Arena (located at Pl. Defilad, next to the Palace of Culture)
In Stegny prices are 5pln every hour for skates and 3 pln for vehicle parking. You also need to pay to use the restroom (1pln). On this rink there is speed skating as well as it also has tennis courts, a gymnasium, saunas, massages, roller hockey, etc
In Arena the admission is free and the skate rental is 7pln per hour.
