Gucci School

So, I'm going to tell you a little bit about the school so you won't be confused when you first get there (but don't worry, you come to the school and have a tour anyways.) But, just to give you some info about the school anyways.

Yes, we are considered the Gucci School, they even posted it in the Polish newspapers! You'll defintely see why we are called the Gucci school when school first gets started. There are many people who have Louis Vitton Bags, and many expensive items, and expensive clothes, etc. There are also a lot of people who wear UGGS in winter, so you don't have to worry if you were worried about that, yes, a lot of girls wear them. Theres even one guy who wears them. You'll know who that is right away. Anyways, a lot of the students have clothings and other items from say Pink, which we all know is an expensive store, and a lot of people also have a lot of clothes from Abercrombie, which is also an expensive school. But not to worry. (I mean, a lot of people wear these kind of clothes in the states as well, but since it's there not recognized stores, they are considered with the 'Gucci' fashion of our school.)'

Want to read more? Here's the interview with Mr. Gerlizc, our school Director: http://en.poland.gov.pl/American,School,of,Warsaw,12056.html (even though what he said isn't necessarily true, of course not all of the people go around carrying Gucci and Louis Vitton bags, but there are a handful who do)

We have the school cafeteria, where you can either bring your lunch or you can set up an account (your parents should do that). Basically if you set up an account, your parents put money on it for you and you can spend it in the cafeteria, and when your money drops low, then the cafeteria/school emails your parents that they should put more money in your account, simple enough. The school's food isn't very good... but who's schools food is? The cafeteria does make sushi on Tuesdays and Thursdays for lunch (but that could change) for 20/25 zt (which could also change) but if you want sushi its best if you get it a period before lunch, the sushi goes really really fast. The salad is also good if you want a healty meal, and they have sandwhiches which you can get pressed (in their panini machine) which they also make paninis, ham and cheese, or cheese (which could also change). Their hot plates are sometimes good, it depends on their meals actually, but all in all, they are okay.

We have the school store, which you can buy your PE clothes (if you still have PE) which juniors and seniors don't, but we do have a weight room above, and of course sports, but I'll get to that later. So, the PTO store is simple, it has sweaters, sweatpants, hats, pens, pencils, polish pottery sometimes. To buy your PE clothes, though, you have to go to the cashiers office which is at the end of the hall (the hall ith all the flags) where the front main door is. And next to the cashiers office is the Activities office where they deal with all the sports stuff. The office is in the senior hall. Which is if you first start out from the cafeteria then you turn to the right, go down the junior hall, at the end of the junior hall, turn to the left start to go into the senior hall (where you just walk straight) and there it is! The office.

This will all be shown to you when you come in before the first day of school, so don't worry if you're confused. You might think its a big international american school (since Warsaw is the biggest International American School) but its really not, once your here for a few weeks you'll be walking around like a pro.

For more information go to their site: http://www.aswarsaw.org/

We also have a moodle and netclassroom page, but someone will help you with that, so no worries.
