There are even more fun activities to do when you think the weather is all yucky; you can do cross country skiing at Powsin Park!
Just 15 minutes south of the Embassy, this park is great for winter or summer sports! The park has large trails crisscrossing through a forest environment. You will find dozens of families and friends enjoying a campfire at the covered picnic tables. In summer you can run or bike! but in the winter, you can go cross country skiing!
The park has a small cafe near the entrance, tennis courts that are closed for the winter, and sports equiptment rental.
Cross country rental equiptment is available for rent at the sports rental building. 15pln for newer skis and boots, 6pln for older skis and boots. All rentals are for 2 hour periods, there are limited quantities of skis for smaller children, but you can also rent sleds.
The shop for renting is from 10:00 am to 16:00 and you must return all equiptment by 16:00, at the counter they will keep an i.d. of you and you will be able to get that back once you have returned everything you have rented. The staff only speak Polish as well so you will need to know your shoe size in European size.
Getting to Powsin Park:
South on Przycholkowa (towards ASW [American School of Warsaw]
Right on Ul. Prekorna
Left on Ul. Opienki
Park in one of the Parking lots on the left (one of them charges a small fee, the other does not)
Cross Opienki and take the stairs up the hill
Continue straight past the cafe until you find three small barns for equipment rental
